The 2025 Nordhausen SUP Cup saw thrilling races and impressive performances this year against the backdrop of crystal-clear waters and perfect weather in Nordhausen, Germany. This fifth edition of the event, part of the exciting Euro Tour SUP, truly showcased the spirit of community and competition among paddlers.
Women’s Standout Performers
One of the most thrilling storylines was undoubtedly on the women's side where Oda Diestel brought home her first major win. Breaking away from the second position in the first lap, she demonstrated incredible skill and determination. Following closely was Emma Freja Pedersen, marking her best result on tour to date with a solid second place finish. Elin van der Sar, impressing everyone, put in extraordinary effort to secure third place and showcase her growth as a junior competitor.
Men’s Competition Recap
The men’s trophy was fiercely contested, with Donato Freens, a previous event winner, emerging as a strong favorite. In a flawless display of skill and strategy, he clinched his first win of the Euro Tour 2025 season. Maximus Sijrier broke through with a commendable second place finish, while Bastian Grimm faced a challenging situation when he missed the final turn, forcing him to backtrack and settle for third.
